Jenny Johansson is an audiovisual artist who works collage-based with sculpture, drawing, text, video and music. Through her practice, she consciously challenges material hierarchies and historiography in relation to mass production, aesthetics and folkart. In a process characterized by d.i.y. strategies and critical thoughts about time, work, myth and reality, she merge physical and digital crafts into poetic compositions.
She holds a bachelor‘s degree in Fine Art Photography from HDK-Valand (2020) and previous studies in philosophy and gender studies. Exhibited at Luxembourg Art Week, BLOOM (Düsseldorf), Limbo (Geneva), Gothenburg Art Museum, Galleri Box (Gothenburg), Alma Löv Museum (Östra Ämtervik) and others.
