The intervention "Selbsthäutige Wand", which at first glance appears to be a freshly plastered wall, gradually peels away over the course of the exhibition. The work results in a continuous removal of both the material and the supporting wall, contextualising time, transience and process.

David Kroell’s consistently non-objective practice focuses on the invisible, the unseen and the unnoticed, pursuing the concept from the catalytic potential of space. Processes of decay and regeneration, of dismantling and construction, bring out the potentiality of space and sharpen perception.
