Sitting somewhere in between his interests of the speculative future found within science fiction, as well as his interests in naturism, sculpture, architecture, and black metal, Dietrich Meyer’s works seek to form optimistic alternatives of engagement to our dystopian realities and the future of our planet. His practice draws from a connection and sense of longing for a deeper relationship to our natural world.

Focusing on various animistic and ecological thoughts and with an emphasis on ritual, his work explores the myriad of ways to connect and perceive, with heightened intent, the world around us and the way we inform and affect each other.
