Studio Hanniball Artist Veronika Weber

Her works are located in the shifting of our perception of nature. Therefore, she uses synthetic materials and industrial production, which she contrasts with slow handcraft techniques and materials. Plastic is being used as a symbol of satiety of our times. Veronika Weber ́s resulting aesthetic world is in between highend outdoor equipment and cheap day-at-the-beach products. Often referring to products which we take or relate to nature. "Elsa ́s World" reminds of a sleeping bag, replacing the warming cow skin. All of Elsas brown spots are cut out, leaving holes behind.

"Lake la Tüté" is a man-made lake, reminding of a plastic bag floating in the ocean. Through the rising percentage of microplastics in our waters, using the term plastic for a lake instead of nature seems more suitable. Plastic becomes the (in)visible skin of nature.
