The artist Dominika Bednarsky prefers to work with clay and her ceramics often feature animal and plant motifs. However, she alienates these in a humorous and at the same time alienating way.

Her arrangements with comical and happy-sad connotations stir up 17th century still life vanitas and fuse with contemporary and pop cultural references to absurdity of a hedonistic consumer and everyday kitsch culture. Looking at her unique objects a momentum of artificiality of contemporary life and sentiment of nature and real emotions blend, that is just as irritating as touching.
