Based in Berlin as a visual artist and performer, Rettl moves in her practice between fine and performing arts as well as installations. She grew up in Austria and Italy and completed her art studies at the IUAV University in Venice in 2021. Her work crosses the boundaries between sculpture, video and photography in a constantly mutating state. Starting from the question of the relationship between the work and the viewer, Rettl’s work continually confronts the viewer with their own identity and gives them an activating energy through their viewing – creating ephemeral, immersive moments that contrast with the constancy of the substance.
