Paula Breuer uses the medium of painting, sculp- ture and film to fictionalize her own life.
She constantly slips into different roles on a quest for her true self. Sometimes she is a knight, sometimes a rat, or a stray dog. She is taking the viewer by the hand leading them through a world of fantasy and possibilities, letting them take part in her despair, hope, love, anxiety, pride, jealousy and other everyday emotions.
Her paintings are spontaneous settlements on paper and canvas inspired by the theater of life, everything is backdrop and real life at once.
